Improved local truncation schemes for the higher-order tensor renormalization group method

چکیده

The higher-order tensor renormalization group is a tensor-network method providing estimates for the partition function and thermodynamical observables of classical quantum systems in thermal equilibrium. At every step iterative blocking procedure, coarse-grid truncated to keep dimension under control. For consistent it crucial that forward backward modes are projected on same lower dimensional subspaces. In this paper we present two methods, SuperQ method, construct truncations reduce or even minimize local approximation errors, while satisfying constraint.

Truncation Effects in Monte Carlo Renormalization Group Improved Lattice Actions

We study truncation effects in the SU(3) gauge actions obtained by the Monte Carlo renormalization group method. By measuring the heavy quark potential we find that the truncation effects in the actions coarsen the lattice by 40-50% from the original blocked lattice. On the other hand, we find that rotational symmetry of the heavy quark potentials is well recovered on such coarse lattices, whic...

Time-Dependent Real-Space Renormalization Group Method

In this paper, using the tight-binding model, we extend the real-space renormalization group method to time-dependent Hamiltonians. We drive the time-dependent recursion relations for the renormalized tight-binding Hamiltonian by decimating selective sites of lattice iteratively. The formalism is then used for the calculation of the local density of electronic states for a one dimensional quant...

A renormalization group improved non-local gravitational effective Lagrangian

Renormalization group techniques are used in order to obtain the improved non-local gravitational effective action corresponding to any asymptotically free GUT, up to invariants which are quadratic on the curvature. The corresponding non-local gravitational equations are written down, both for the case of asymptotically free GUTs and also for quantum Rgravity. The implications of the results wh...

Renormalization methods for higher order differential equations

We adapt methodology of statistical mechanics and quantum field theory to approximate solutions to an arbitrary order ordinary differential equation boundary value problem by a second-order equation. In particular, we study equations involving the derivative of a double-well potential such as u− u3 or − u + 2u3. Using momentum (Fourier) space variables we average over short length scales and de...

Order a improved renormalization constants

In Reference [1], we studied the improvement of the Wilson-Dirac theory by removing all lattice artifacts linear in the lattice spacing a in on-shell matrix elements. In general, such an improvement for the dimension 3 fermion bilinear operators requires one to tune the coefficient of the clover operator in the action, determine the coefficient of an extra term each in the vector, axialvector, ...
